Well, it looks like the pole dancing documentary is ready for lift off. The studio is incredibly excited about the film and is doing everything they can to support the project. It's the first time I have had this kind of support when making a project. Usually I feel like I am pushing a huge boulder up a hill, but this time it feels like I am being picked up and carried along with a big cheering crowd around me. This is really helpful for someone like me who can get stuck in doubt and fear. I don't seem to have that option here because even when I get nervous and want to pull back there is someone there who is excited about the project and wants to help me.
Both of these pictures are of my beautiful teacher, Meg, who
has been so helpful and supportive of me in many ways
So, at this point, I am going to put out a video through the studio's newsletter telling people about the project and asking for their participation. Incredibly enough, I already have 4 people who have expressed their interest in being interviewed and I haven't even shared the video yet. Here is the video if you want to see it (sorry I don't have it on You Tube right now): https://vimeo.com/101860929
This is incredibly exciting Michele. It makes me want to try a class!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video. You look beautiful and sound assured and open to hearing from people.
I am so happy you have all the support. That is really wonderful.
Congratulations on pursuing it…..and making it a reality.
bravo!!! what is already so interesting to me are these photos of your teacher. I didnt expect to see such power, athleticism, strength, endurance. they speak of sculpture , dance, an artform.
