This is a video I made a while ago that I never finished. I am having trouble deciding if there should be sound or maybe different sound than I have or perhaps silence. And I am also not sure if the figure should have a background or just be on blue space. And....I wonder if the words are interesting. Do they seem like enough? Are they the right words?
If anyone has any thoughts I would be happy to hear them. Thanks!
Hi Michele. Here a few thoughts off the top of my head! I find the video with the background to be compelling....the figure is more boxed in than the figure in blue space. which makes sense given her predicament. In "Life4" the figure also has the potential for freedom (the sky) even though she is being pushed down by life through a hole that just leads to air/sky..this is mysterious and somewhat surreal which I enjoy. I find that the words in "Life4" work really well - they start off serious and then when you get to pliers it's funny - so it communicates how we are burdened with a jumble of the profound and the mundane. I like seeing the hole. Maybe life2 would work in a different way if there were other sounds - my feeling was that those harsh sounds do not deepen or expand the image in some way. I didn't hear any sounds for Life4. maybe there are some? or maybe it's my computer. Hope this is somewhat helpful.
