I just find myself looking at this drawing thinking here is another part of Michele that I haven't seen before. You cover every inch of the paper with strong, vibrant colors. The sun is gorgeous. The colors are bold but there is still a sense of mystery. I love your titles. Do they come after you complete a drawing or do you have the title in mind as you draw?
I came up with the title of the drawing when I post it to the blog. I made this drawing thinking about New Mexico. I loved going to New Mexico- it felt like a magical place for me- full of transformative energy. When I posted this drawing I remembered watching the sunset in New Mexico. When the sun finally set and there was darkness, I remember thinking how quiet it was. Before the sun set completely, the sky was full of color and it was though I was listening to a symphony and then the sun set and there was silence. It was a really powerful experience.
Great drawing
ReplyDeleteTerriffic! Vibrant and lively. I'm curious about the story...
